Question about G-325A Form

Hello all. I didn't see anything actually answering the question I have...so I'm asking it!

On the Biographical form, Form G-325A, it asks for information about the petitioner's parents.

On it, it looks like this when asking for the parent's last names.

Father (blank space to fill in)

Mother (no selectable space here)

(Maiden Name) (blank space to fill in)

My mother has not gone by her maiden name in over 20 years. Even after divorcing my father, she kept his last name.

My initial thought was to fill in their last names as normal, and then put my mother's maiden name in parentheses after that...

But quite honestly, I don't want ANYTHING that I can do to prevent any RFE's from being issued, or my petition being denied or anything stupid!

So if someone can clue me in as to how it should be filled in, I'd appreciate that.

Thanks!

Ahaha! I feel so silly, I can't believe I missed that.

I mean, I know I looked at it, but it didn't dawn on me.

I'm so worried about things taking forever, or screwing up, or anything!

Thanks

Yes, think of it like genealogy. Your Mother's maiden name is the only family name they are interested in for her, no matter how many other names she used or marriages.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
