I864 Question?

can someone explain what that means? (Attached)

"proof of their residency and relationship to you if they are not the intending immigrants........? 
 

does this mean it doesnt apply/not needed if the i864 is for the persons i485?

I believe this is related to a sponsor using other household members to meet the income requirement via an I864A.

If you are doing an AOS then at least one I-864 is required.  If a joint sponsor is needed then they file an I-864 and each other household member files an I-864a.

My question was, do i need to show proof of residency for 485 applicant?

i864 is being sent it in for the Beneficiary and their i485 to supplement their requirements.

If you are not using any other household member's income in your i864, not required.

Forms are used for multiple types of cases and situtations.

 

You really aren't helping yourself by not having timeline, or indicating your relationship to the beneficiary and posting multiple threads for questions about the same immigrant. 

 

If you are married to the immigrant then there is no need to include anything about the residency as it is presumed that you live with the immigrant.

To “supplement”?   What can that even mean?      As in joint sponsor?

As others have said, Please complete your timeline so that we can help you better. Second, make sure you read and re- read the instructions for each form carefully. There are also YouTube videos that guide you on how to complete each form. I used them a lot.

Now, on to your question: I believe this is in case you want to use a joint sponsor for your form I-864. That person would have to fill form I-864A, and you would have to show proof of residency and relationship to you if you don’t claim them as dependents in your tax return. But if you don’t use a joint sponsor, You don’t need to worry about this.
