Filled out the forms and now I have to go back and get the other stuff. But why am I filling out a different affidavit of support opposed to the I-134? I had to do the I-864 which costs $180.00 and the other is free. Is it just another way for USCIS to get money from us? Oh well, guess there is no price to high when it means keeping Reda with me as we muddle through this whole immigration thing.

Where do you get $180 from, The I-864 is a support form for I-485 used for AOS, support forms I-864, and G-325A don't have any fees associated with them.

Filing Fee : $0.00

Application for EAD to work has a $180 fee associated with it.

Then again you can wait until July 30 to file, and then EAD, and AP will be included in the fee filed for AP. The fee goes up to $1010 for AOS.

The I-134 is used only by the consulate for Non-Immigrant visas, like the K-Visas, visitor, work, business, student, etc. The Non-immigrant has a limited period of stay, not like an immigrant, that has an indefinite period of stay.

The I-864 is a binding Affidavit of Support used to lock in the sponsor of an immigrant that will be issued a green card, the 2 affidavits have different purposes. The I-864 is the sponsor's guarentee that the sponsored immigrant wont become a charge of the state.
