when I don't have an "A number"

Some AOS related forms (325A, and others) have a box for an "A number". My spouse is on an H1 visa and doesn't have an A number. What should I put in this box? and also, for my own 325A, since I am a citizen, what do I put in here?

If you are a US citizen by birth put "NONE" if by naturalization, then look on naturalization cert.

As for H1 visa he will have one it may be on his visa, if cannot find, then leave blank, or put "NONE'

H-1 visa holders do not have A numbers unless they previously got one through a different visa (e.g. F-1 OPT).

YuandDan if you don't know the answer, don't make up one based on assumption and offer it out to people as fact.

There are plenty of people here in these forums (myself included) who did not have an A# and know what to do in that situation.

If you do not have an A#, you put NONE in any boxes asking for an A#.

Yeah, it should be on the I-129F approval. Hmm... is the A# assigned to you on your EAD the same as the one on your I-129F approval? If so, I wonder if that was the hold up with your EAD?
