How long before NVC reviews re-submitted documents?

We are going through the IR process for my husband and made it to the front of the line for NVC document review last week. They reviewed and accepted all forms and documents except one, his police certificate, which we had not uploaded correctly.  I uploaded and submitted the correct file within a few hours of getting the message.  My questions is, how long is it likely to take NVC to go back and review the new document? Another 5 weeks?? I noticed that the date on the new document is still the same as the original submission date but it has been a couple of days since submitting and nothing has changed.

Yes. Will take some weeks. In 2019 mine took 1 1/2 months every time I needed to add something

Ah. Thanks, that's disappointing but helpful!

We are on the fence about whether or not to submit another form at this stage (Joint Sponsor I-864) as we don't want to significantly delay the interview being scheduled. My AOS was accepted along with everything else but I only have overseas income so we are relying completely on assets to meet the financial requirements.

Does anyone know if the review timeframe is exactly the same for new and re-submitted documents? Or if it just takes a while for them to get back to check re-submissions? The wait for document review is approximately 5 weeks at the moment (as of 7-June they are reviewing documents submitted 30-April). If the wait is the same for both, we will go ahead and submit the joint sponsor's I-864 now. If not, we will probably wait and provide it to the Consular Officer prior to the interview.

Just updating this to say that feedback in other threads suggests that the wait for resubmitted documents is the same as the wait for the first review, approximately 5 weeks at the moment.

We too received a notice about our marriage cert which I promptly re-uploaded to show the apostille on the back page - submitted 09 June
Decided to add joint sponsor instead of risking interview - til now, still shows as "N/A" so unable to upload additional documents for joint sponsor.

Not sure if NVC has to approve joint sponsor before moving on to upload tax returns etc.

Here's to wishing us luck @EKT that we don't wait the entire 5 weeks before a response!

The website says it takes about two hours to show what you added and pay fees but it can take more than that till they approve what you have added.

Mine took around a month to get a  review for a  resubmitted document but for my friend it only took 5 days  after resubmission to be DQed.

Good luck! We had to resubmit one doc and add another. The first one still shows the original date of 30 April, although it was resubmitted 4 June. The second was submitted 8 June so we will see how things go. It sounds like review time for resubmitted documents is all over the place so who knows.

Thank you for sharing that. So it sounds like it's not a set time for resubmissions after all.

Finally got an email to say that joint sponsor has been approved! So able to attach additional docs and submit all updates as of today!

I'm two days behind you in submitting extra docs! Best of luck for both of us to get our reviews sooner rather than later!

Yep - we went to the back of the queue - incredibly frustrating - so you're new date becomes the day you 'resubmitted'. Took about another month to get DQd. The processing times on the website are very accurate, although note that I had to call to chase and get my case flagged to a supervisor (it got DQ'd the same day) as they claimed to have processed past when I submitted. So definitely chase!

I was asked to upload some additional documents and I added in the additional documents section and clicked on Submit documents button. Is there anything more that I need to do to inform NVC that I have uploaded additional documents? Please let me know.

Yes, as long as the new documents in CEAC now say “submitted” and everything else says “accepted” (so nothing says “rejected”) then you are good to go 👍
