Greetings all,

In the process of filing an I-130 form for my adopted daughter from my wife's 1st marriage.

My question is, if I'm submitting all the "Evidence to support your petition" section of the online I130 form, do I still have to submit anything in the "Additional Evidence" section?!

I have the child's birth certificate with my name in it (made after adoption), the adoption decree and certificate, mine and my wife's marriage certificate, etc. Shouldn't this be enough?

We don't have a religious record or a census record. I could get a school record if required... but is this really necessary?

Thanks.

You are probably in good shape.  I did not adopt my step-daughter and her I-130 was approved.  I provided a photo timeline of our relationship from age 7 until now.  Travel and special events, etc.

Thanks for the reply. Photo timeline huh, well I can certainly send photos, because we've been married for 8 years now. But I'm wondering if it's ok to send the applications without them now and then if needed, i can always send them if requested?

As I said, I think you are in good shape.  Wait to see if anyone chimes in here.
