How do I contact the embassy by phone

Hello All,

a quick background:

I've filed for a K1 for my financee in India. We got Pack 3 sent it in June 6th. It was our hope that the interview would be scheduled for July--but when the July list was posted on the NWD website, our number, unfo, was not listed.

I have a strange feeling that the new delhi embassy did not get her pack 3! how can we verify the fact; and what number should I/we call to speak to someone about my concern.

dont worry if u r not listed in july then u may get ur interview in the forthcomming months.

one thing u can do is e-mail embassy with all ur info and they would let u know about ur interview date or u can also call them here is the link for the contact info of embassy

we were able to speak to them at the Embassy and they have verified that they have the packet in hand!

so hopefully, Aug will be the interview month for us *fingers crossed*

I wouldn't say that trying on the phone is useless. I got through on the phone several times and found the answers to be helpful. You just have to have patience. Remember the embassies are serving thousands of people from different states and many people are trying to get through on only a couple of lines during limited calling hours.

However, my suggestion is to ALWAYS get it in writing which is why it is best to email. We ran into a situation with my husband's pcc from Saudi that if we had not had the email from the embassy saying he didn't need it, it may have delayed our petition significantly. Fortunately I had printed off the email the morning of the interview and had it in hand when they asked why we didn't have a pcc from Saudi.
