I’m planning to file my citizenship. Since I’m not going outside United States anytime soon I’m not renewing my passport. My Philippine passport will be expired on September 2021...

Anybody had their interviews, do they require your valid passport ?

They do not require a valid passport. You should bring all passports you have though, valid or expired doesn't matter.

Nope.  Philippine passport is not required.  Do not need to bring it or any expired passports you have.

Interview takes about 15 minutes, they quiz you on reading, writing English then ask you to answer questions (from the practice questions).  If you have been studying, it will be a breeze.  But Philippine passport is not a requirement ;)

Yup, foreign passports should be brought to the interview. Valid and expired, either way. They asked to see two of my three Swedish passports when I was interviewed (my oldest with my K-1 visa in it and my newest valid one).

Just a FYI, if you want to go back to Philippine, BI was requiring valid Philippines passport.

If you don't plan on going back anytime soon, then no worries
