Unfortunately, it may be in your best interests to have another medical exam conducted, as I believe the exams are only "valid" for one year. The papers you should take to your interview should be listed on the Notice of Action you received, telling you when and where your interview is to take place. However, a summarized list of the forms is:

Marriage certificate

Birth certificates of you and your US Citizen spouse

Joint bank statements / loan agreements or other financial documents in both of your names

Photos of your wedding, vacations, time spent together before you married etc

A copy of the medical report

Your passport and the U.S. passport of your spouse

Both your names on a lease for an apartment or mortgage, to prove you live together.

Any other documents that go towards proving that you're genuinely in love with the person you're married to.

There may be other things, so you might want to search on Google and check out the USCIS website. Basically, they want you to "prove" that your marriage is not fraudulent and that you're honestly and genuinely trying to emigrate to the U.S. to be with someone you share your life with.

My apology to the OP for the irrelevant post, but can a non-USC attend a jury or be assigned a jury duty? To be more specific, in the state of CA?

No a non-USC cannot be assigned jury duty. In fact if you sign up for jury duty, you are setting yourself up to be deported. Only US Citizens can be on juries. If you sign up for Jury Duty, you are misrepresenting yourself as a US Citizen, which is grounds for deportation.

On Jury Duty forms you'll see "I cannot attend Jury Duty" question at the top, tick the box that says "I am not a US Citizen" and send back the form. This is true for the State of California, I did this many times.

I couldn't agree more - I'd imagine that having a biological child together is pretty strong evidence that your marriage is genuine :P

I don't think it is a problem that the lease is in your husband's name if you can provide letters that have come to the same address, addressed to you. I now wish that my husband and I had bought everything together - we bought a TV that we put in his name alone, but thankfully the car is in both of our names. I never realized how important joint financial documents were before. I wish that both of our names were on the AKC registration for our puppy, as he's the closest thing we have to a child!!

I am wondering too. My interview is in 5 days and all my interview appt. letter said was to "bring documents" with you. They were not specific at all! So I guess I will just take my ID and proof that we are legitimately married.

I'm pretty sure the fact that you've had a child together will prove beyond any doubt it's a legitimate marriage. Don't bring just the BC, bring the baby as well!

And when do we get to see baby pictures? :)
