I am in the pacific time zone.  Assuming

* a post office is open at 12:01 am (I could imagine Los Angeles has one)

*   I mail the I-751 at 12:01 am exactly 90 days before her green card expires, and

* this post office  instantly teleports the package to USCIS,

what can possibly happen? Is there I-751 processing in Hawaii? AFAIK cases are sent to Phoenix.

I recall one case where someone filed at 91 days thinking it would take at least a day to arrive and it would thus arrive at 90 days. Instead it arrived same day.

I am curious about specifics on cases where people filed the day the 90 day window opened and the case was rejected for filing too early.  I am thinking these would have been cases sent from major cities in the APAC region where it is possible to leave on day X and arrive in the USA on day X-1.

Regardless it seems like the answer is to set your phone’s clock to MST time when calculating the window.  Versus sacrificing 10 full days.

Or is your concern as much about USCIS erroneously miscalculating and thus causing 3 month delay?

If you're curious about specifics, just Google VJ here. There are many cases pointing to that. Or better yet, start a new topic with this particular question and I'm sure a lot of members will chime in.

All I'm just saying is take some days into the 90 day period. Don't just do it same day, regardless of if you're PST.

As I always say, your case being processed depends on luck. I have a neighbor who sent their N400 in October 2020 while mine was sent July 2020. They got bio-reuse in December of 2020 while I got mine in February 2021. Sending on same day is risking rejection and doesn't mean you'll get done with the process quicker. Sending it a few days in atleast gives you peace of mind that it won't get rejected for "early filing."

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You are saying to do this without explaining why.  You are predicting disaster with nothing to back it up.

I think you are arguing that based on two anecdotes, there is no benefit to filing at 90 days versus 80 days

You haven’t explained the risk of complying with the law and how that leads to rejection.

I am not seeking peace mind.  I am serene in my belief that an application  received 90 days before a green card expires will be accepted.

You said send it at 80 days before the card expires.  That implies there was a case of someone who sent it at 81 days before their card expires getting rejected.  So let’s see it.

And because I distrust USPS et al, I am not so serene that an application  received the day after a green card expires will be accepted. I will be sending our petition at 90 days before the card expires. This will give our petition the best possible chance of being accepted.
