I suspect you are right that the left/MSM/Dems want to keep him front and center. And for good reason. He is the leader of the Republican Party. He is very possibly the next Republican candidate for President. And he is the man that 70% of the Republican Party has hung their hat on. "Trump is no longer relevant, stop talking about him" is the weirdest, most disjointed argument I've ever seen on VJ, and I've been here for an age.

And it's not like the MSM has to work at keeping him in the news. The man cannot shut his mouth. He's got to weigh in on everything. He just gave a speech at a RNC convention. This is not Jimmy Carter just doing his own thing behind the scenes. This is a man who is actively working to stay front and center in the news. How is he not worth discussing?

But I can see why you wouldn't want him front and center. The man is a disaster and an embarrassment to the Republican Party. I'd want him to quietly go away too.

I remember this very thing being said about Hillarous for a long time after she lost the election by many of those on the left in this very forum.  Guess you missed that era.

I'm not sure I understand the point.

It seems rather like an argument that most people in this country lack object permanence, insofar that once a figure recedes even slightly from the national stage, he or she must be banished to the corn field.
