Report: Trump telling supporters he expects to be reinstated

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly saying he expects to be reinstated by August, according to a New York Times reporter.

Maggie Haberman tweeted the report in reference to a Qanon conference in Dallas over the weekend.

“Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing the information),” she wrote.

Former Trump attorney Sidney Powell told the crowd at the conference that Trump can simply be reinstated, and that “a new inauguration day is set.”

At that same Qanon conference, Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, answered a question from someone about why there could not be a Myanmar-style deadly military coup here in the U.S., to which Flynn reportedly replied, “no reason, I mean, it should happen here.”

Flynn has since posted to social media, denying that he was calling for a coup.

The stuff involving Flynn is wild though. I mean, he denies he said he was okay with a coup in America like in Myanmar but I literally heard him say it with my own ears.

I have many thoughts.

 

- This is not how this works. This is not how any of this works.

 

- There is zero Constitutional basis for Trump replacing Biden in August or any other month except the January following a Presidential election. This is, what? 6th grade civics?

 

- "Q" has never been right about anything. Ever. Q is like if your local news meteorologist kept calling for frogs, fire, blood, Fruity Pebbles, and Santorum to be raining down every single night for a year. And yet so many people would still be staring out their window waiting for the Fruity Pebbles to start bouncing across their yard.

 

- Michael Flynn, referencing the Myanmar coup: "No reason. I mean, it should happen here. No reason." He can deny he said it, but that just makes him a liar on top of a treasonist

 

- Quiddich makes zero sense.  You can literally die from a Bludger or falling off your broom, or--apparently--Dementors. Dunking the Quaffle through the hoops is 10 points, but catching the Snitch gets you 150 points? Are you kidding me? And since that's the only way to stop the game, catching it is really the only realistic way to win the game. It's ridiculous. I will die on this hill.

 

- Sidney Powell should be disbarred. She should also get help. She is not a well woman, and I honestly hope she gets the help she needs. But right now she is not fit to practice law.

Let's just play the devils advocate and say he knows something ( I dont think he does) but Trump has made statements before that were called absurd, in which he was right. Remember when he said the FBI spied on his campaign and was laughed at. Remember when he said the Virus came from a lab in China and was called a racist

Let's play devil's advocate and say you're right that he was right, because I just can't rehash all this anymore.

 

In what way is there a Constitutional route for Trump to re-take the Presidency and oust Joe Biden, other than winning the election in 2024?

 

Saying there must be some secret way or some way that nobody's thought of or re-counted votes showing fraud is not a viable answer, because nothing about the Constitution is secret, and the Constitution provides no remediation for a fraudulent outcome. Even if the current re-count silliness were to reveal deep-state level fraud and enough bamboo fibers to feed an embarrassment of pandas, there is no constitutional mechanism to restore Trump to office. The best you could hope for is that Biden is impeached and removed from office, and if it could be shown that Harris was involved then she'd be impeached and removed also, leaving Pelosi as the President until the next election. There is no way forward for Trump at all, let alone August, except to win in 2024. The fact that he's clutching on to these conspiracies should give you great pause as a supporter.
