:( so sad... I am so sorry to hear that...

I am also thinking that this day is going to come for me soon...I have a cat that is 19 years old and sometimes he is just so sick :(

(F)

Has he been to the vet recently?

Sorry about your cat, but at least you did all so she wouldn't suffer.

I also lost one of my favorite cats last week, and I wasn't even there, he was killed by one of the dogs at my farm. He was just the sweetest cat and left us early (he was only 6 years old).

Wow...sorry to hear that :( I'm not sure which is worse, loosing them suddenly and unexpected like that, or knowing that you have to put them down (F)

Here's a picture of Chloe:

My condolences as well Scott and Lai. We recently went through this with Joel's beloved Zoe...the very hardest part was it had to be done with him here and Zoe back home in NS. He hurts even now, but we plan on adopting as soon as we are able to have a pet...or two. I'm glad Vicky had such a loving family to be a part of. She was truly blessed...and was truly a blessing to you and Lai. (F)

RIP Vicky (F)(F)(F)

You have a lot of great memories to come with chloe im sure! And I must admit she really has a special color and I wouldnt have resisted her if I would have come accross her when I was looking for a cat! She seems to be a great cat!

Dear Scott & Lai,

I am so sorry for your baby, and that you will miss her when she moves onto her next phase of the universe. Indeed you will miss her, but she will ALWAYS be with you, living in your heart.

I have felt this pain you feel more times than I have fingers. I have been an animal lover before I could say my first word. They are our friends, our family, and our children.

I am not sure of your religeous affiliation, but please know I will make an offering to Lord Buddha for her. I will ask that she has no pain, and is able to move on gracefully. I will ask that you and Lai's pain be short, and that the memories you have of Chloe wil comfort you, until you meet again.

You WILL indeed meet her again.

((((HUG))))

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'm Christian, but I appreciate the sentiment. Vicky has already moved on, and it was very fast. I was holding her as she went.

Thanks to all who've replied (F)

Chloe is definitely helping with the healing process. She is very lovable, and so cute Lai says it is unbearable :P

Here's a video of her chasing a laser pointer dot

We had to say goodbye to June earlier this year. She had reached the grand old age of 15 but we had to euthanise her due to failings from diabetes and cat alzheimers. She was the meanest cat you ever met and only would behave for my husband. I loved her though like I love the others, and we have her picture on the mantel. We were inconsolable the day she died but she is waiting, as are all our departed pets, at Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry for your loss and, as a volunteer for a cat protection and rehoming charity, its heart warming to hear that even in your grief, you have found room for a new family member. Chloe is a very lucky girl.

Dear Scott and Lai,

I am very sorry for your lost. Just like you and many others, I have lost several pets due to age or illness, and it is devastating every time!!! I always say, "I can't go through this pain again", but then an animal will be in need and I will adopt it and become just a close and attached as before.

My one cat lived to be 24. She was a neighbors cat that came to live with us because the neighbor had a baby and I guess she didn't feel she was getting enough attention. When she came to live with us, she was already 7 years old. She was our first cat (we had a dog before that we loved very much, but had passed on several years before). She had been through so much with our family. She was even here when my sister moved back home with her baby after getting a divorce. We credit her for giving my niece her love of cats. Actually, my niece's first word was "CAT."

I do believe that we will be reunited with ALL our loved ones (people and pets), and I have found comfort in this. My prayers are with you both and Vicky. (She was a beautiful little girl, BTW)

Peace,

Wendy
