Hello, I am looking for some advice or similar experiences. My fiancé is from England and we applied for our K1 visa in December of 2019. We received approval from USCIS in May of 2020 and our case was forwarded to NVC. Since then, crickets. NVC has not sent us a welcome letter, never sent me a receipt number or anything and we have been stuck in limbo for over a year. I have emailed NVC a few times and every response is generic and says that they’ll update me when there’s been an update.

I haven’t seen my fiancé in over a year due to the pandemic and we have been patient but are losing our minds with the silence. Does anyone have any advice to help me figure out what my case status is with NVC? Any insight into the delays due to covid? Anyone else with similar experiences? HELPPPPP

The pandemic.

I am moving this topic to the UK regional discussion area where you will find many others in the same boat.  Good luck.

@abeckabeth my fiance and I are in a similar situation :( sent to NVC on 03/23/2020, and haven't received anything. I'll try to post back here if I have any news. I did just ask a question in another thread if we should file the DS160 with the embassy even though they haven't received our application yet. I'm really worried that we should have done that but didn't. This is so stressful and confusing

You should call the NVC for your Case No, and Invoice No...

No, you don’t have to do anything at NVC stage. They are simply the handoff place between USCIS (petition place)  to the Department of State (embassy). NVC does nothing but assign a new Dept of State case number and send on to the proper embassy. In years past, K1 arrived and left in 3 days.
