Hi Guys,

Is there a template or steps to cancel the K1 visa application? NVC notified me last week that the application had been sent to the Embassy, but we will no longer be together, and I'd like to cancel the application. Do I send a letter to USCIS, NVC, or the overseas embassy?

I would contact USCIS and the consulate to withdraw.  Good luck in the future.  Be aware that a withdrawal cannot be revoked.  It would require starting from scratch.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Does a withdrawal of k1 visa based on their situation or breaking up affects CR1 visa or starting all over again if they choose to get back in future.

Not to my knowledge.  People withdraw K-1s more often than you might think.
