I wouldn't be opposed to that, although I'm not a resident of NY so I don't know the answer to that. Maybe it's like the Trump impeachments, where they (legislators) believe the voters should decide. Pure conjecture, I just don't know. But there are very few Democrats who have Cuomo's back, and a very long list of Dems who continue to call for his resignation. This narrative that Dems are being hypocritical about Cuomo, and that they don't believe the women, is easily disprovable.

Politically, I am fine with Cuomo staying the limelight.

Absolutely, Cuomo is great for the right. The longer he stays in office, the worse the optics are for the Dems. The gamesmanship is why I won't carry water for the Dems or anyone else. My politics are obviously left of center, but I absolutely cannot stand the gamesmanship on any side.

Gamesmanship is all that happens in DC and in the highest levels of politics.  Heck, gamesmanship is not only practiced by the elected politicians, but also the highest level bureaucrats especially in DC.

On the one hand, it's the nature of politics. I get that. And I get that no matter what we do, it's always going to be a component of politics. My problem is that the gamesmanship is no so front and center. For most in DC, the game is the only thing. They will see this country burn if it means scoring a zinger against their opponents.

 

And when I discuss this with friends or family, they will inevitably bring up term limits as a solution. (and I agree, it would help a lot) But the very same people who cheer for term limits keep voting for the same people over and over and over. Starting with the last mid-term before this last presidential election, that's exactly what I've doing. I basically vote against the incumbent, and if there's nobody running who I can vote for in good conscience, then I leave it blank. We desperately need national Ranked Choice voting.

On this, we can agree.  I, too, fall left of center, but IMO I think the majority of America falls within 10% of center, maybe even less.  It's the fringe on both sides that is so disgusting, and the 10-80% people that seem to have the most power (no science here, just my opinion).  

 

I love how people try to smear Trump with the alleged cases of sexual misconduct.  Remember Stormy Daniels?  She lost, and had to pay Trump.  Yet my liberal friends love to bring her up.  Or the story about a hooker in a hotel room and some yellow water.  Did it happen?  IDK. But if it was between consenting adults, who cares?  It only upsets me when 1) The girls are underage, or 2) It's not consensual.  And there are many, MANY videos available online showing Biden doing non-consensual touching that makes the girls uncomfortable, yet no one seems to care.  If it were MY daughter, he would be on the floor regardless of his status at the time.  His current sub-par mental status aside, he has been doing it for years, and I find it disturbing at best.
