I tried to find a civil surgeon in my area to make the medical examination but I couldn't find it.

I need a way to locate a "civil surgeon" in my area.

My lawyer (whom I used only for initial advice; I filed by myself) had a booklet of civil surgeons in my area (Seattle, WA). She recommended one in particular as being great and identified two others as some I should stay away from. An immigration attorney should have a list of people he or she suggests clients use... definitely ask for the contact details of someone who is known to be good, as it's worth the extra drive to a good doctor, rather than dealing with someone who's close-by but is a pain to deal with.

If you go to the USCIS main website there is a link that takes you to a list of civil surgeons in the area that you reside. Or failing that just do a search of civil surgeons in your main browser bar or even do a google,lol. best of luck

fresh- make sure you call around to a few in your area. The prices for the medical exams tend to vary widely. Some could be upwards of $300 or more- so it's worth it to "shop around" and find someone who will do it for relatively less.
