F4 Petition w/ Minors

Hello everyone, my mother was petitioned under the F4 Category - Philippines and we recently received the welcome letter earlier this morning. I logged into the CEAC website with the receipt number and case number, my mother, my father and my older sister were listed on the website. My dad has a different name, so I will be contacting NVC about this issue to correct it.

Anyways, our petition was filed around December 2002. My younger sister and I were born 2 years after the petition was filed, does my parents have to tell the NVC/USCIS that they have 2 minor daughters immigrating with them despite not being included in the original petition? My parents did not bother telling the NVC/USCIS at first since we are minors, and we just have to show up with them at the consulate interview. Any help would be appreciated!

Just NVC.  No need to inform USCIS.  You and your sister can be added as derivative beneficiaries directly through CEAC -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing/ceac-faqs.html#ceac16

You can't just show up at the interview, even if you're minors.  You need to pay the IV fee, submit the visa application form and required civil documents, get scheduled for visa interview, and complete the medical.

Hi, thanks for the help. I appreciate it a lot. I'm currently looking at the Case Summary page, and there isn't a drop down box where I can add and remove an applicant.

Here's a picture of mine. I circled in blue where you should see the option to add applicant.

Thank you for the help, @Akilah15

As I checked the case summary page, there is still no option to add new beneficiaries to the case. We also just finished filing up DS-261, do we need to contact NVC now for them to manually add us to the case?

Edit: We also haven't paid the fees yet, since I have to call NVC about my father's incorrect name.

Dependents, such as a spouse and children below 21 yrs. of age are derivatives of the primary applicant and are therefore included in the petition. Just fill in their names in your CEAC account and pay the appropriate fees for everyone. Good luck!

Please did you succeed in adding your derivative? How long did NVC approve that?

Yes, I called NVC and they told me to send an email using the Public Inquiry form with the full scan of passport and birth certificate of the derivative applicants.
