Rescheduling CR-1 visa interview

My husband works on cruise ships and is away for four months at a time. He has been home since April and unfortunately we have not had our interview scheduled for June (London embassy). We completed the NVC stage, have an attorney, and all documents have been accepted. However, we are (hoping) his visa interview is scheduled in the next coming months but he will be away until october 25th. Will he be able to reschedule his interview to around this time? Will this slow down our case?
