There is no question that the man involved is the father.

Unfortunately the mother didn't acknowledge the father on the birth certificate.   It will be extremely hard to get anything accomplished at this point.  CRBA is the only option and it isn't in the father's interest to cooperate especially if he is in the Philippines.  It has been 10 years and he doesn't feel guilt for his responsibilities.

Actually, that part also requires the father's cooperation.  The father must submit an Affidavit of Admission of Paternity, and that document has to be registered with the PSA.

Anyway, OP claims they can put pressure on the father to cooperate.  I'm curious how that will turn out.  I hope OP comes back to update us.

I had a buddy living over there who had a vasectomy he was accused of fathering a child.

You walk down a barangay in the streets of any province you will see a ton of kids, and more than half are illegitimate

Although Vasectomies have a high success rate, their not 100%, more like 95%.

Completely agree on the last part,  the Roman Catholic Church and their opposition to contraception has a lot to do with it IMO, that and very poor judgment.

I am US citizen and I am helping my Filipina friend who got pregnant to an American man and abandoned her 10 years ago.

My friend is a Filipino citizen, single parent and currently living in the Philippines with her daughter (10 years old).

You're friends objective is use the child as a vehicle so they can both immigrate to the US?
