Using international credit report to open US credit cards

I thought this link might be useful for those who want to "carry over" good credit scores from their home countries to the US.

According to the website, you can "translate your international credit score into a U.S.equivalent credit rating and check which U.S. credit cards you could already be eligible for. Nova Credit also works with banks in the U.S. so they can accept your international credit history."

Disclaimer: I don't get any kind of compensation for the link, and I personally haven't tried it. I get better credit card offers through my US citizen spouse with an excellent credit score. Just thought it might be useful for those who, for whatever reason, want to carry over their credit scores and can't or don't want to build credit by being an authorized user on their USC spouse's card.

If you have great credit as a petitioner you should add your significant other immediately to your credit cards. We are in the loan process on a new construction, and our middle score is above 800. I added my wife 3 years ago when we first started dating (She had a previous SSN when she was a J-1) Idk if you need a ITIN to make it work, but it worked out well with me. another option for those that might not have credit in another country.
