Guys, my petition has been in active review since December 22, 2021. I've been checking my USCIS log in everyday since this process started. But now, when I log in, it is saying the petition has been in active review since April 9, 2022. Does anyone have any idea why? It's been 11 months and a few days now since I filed. I would have hoped to have gotten an approval by now.

Check your USCIS under documents. Chances are you might have been approved. You should see an Approval Notice in there.

I did, and it was approved! I haven't gotten any further contact yet, because I thought they would at least send a text message, but approval is still approval so it's all good!

PD 22 May 2021

Now we will have to slow down the process with  next steps to be able to do my medical exam around middle of September 😅😅

Congratulations on your approval!

Not to be a bearer of bad news but people waiting for the NOA 2 but I would not be worried. I got my NOA 2 in January and still is at the NVC waiting to be DQ.

I might be wrong, but did you try to call them? I think I saw something about long time waiting in Nvc guide in a forum…?

Just curious, why slow it down?

We resign our work contracts because my husbands visa depends on work contract and there was no approval of i130 back at the time when my husband had tell his boss will he stay or not…( we live in a third country under visas) tho for not losing a severance pay ( you have to complete the contract for revive 13th salary) we have to work according to a new contract:)

also, we planned a big wedding ceremony in Russia this July, and thought about Europe and Russian trip…but the war ruined our plans… will have to stay here for a while !

If your husband is at the same job he should receive his severance even if he doesn't complete a full contract. Unless he is at a job where they pay you the 13th check at the end of every contract...
