well I can't find our original topic on this but a recap is my wifes card came in the mail with the wrong sex in the end of october. Sent it out the 2nd of Nov and got an NOA 3 weeks later. Got an RFE on December 23 requesting all new biometrics and photos. I called the CSC on Dec 27th explaing that its a 3 hour drive for us to our local office and I didn't think it was fair for us to spend all that money in gas and photos and a full day's drive with our 5 month old daughter and we got extremely lucky to get a sympathetic officer. She personally talked to the agent working the case and her suprivisor and asked me to call back in a week to discuss what would happen. I called back exactly a week later and she said they were taking care of everything. They were going to recap the old card I sent in and reprint it and change the sex (duh!). Well 3 weeks went by and no green card and no change of status on our NOA in the internet. Called the same office back and she said she'd look into saying that it was crazy what they were asking us to do. Now a month went by(Jan 27) and still no card and no change called again to the same officer. She said she'd do her own request for the files and find out why no one was moving on this. While I was at the doctor today Feb 1st someone called my office from the USCIS and said my wife will have her new card in a week!:dance::dance:

Just crossing my fingers that its right but there are a few good souls at the USCIS. The officer I dealt with was a total sweetheart with a lot patience and went above and beyond to see that the CSC handled the mistake in a correct manner as to not punish us for their mistake. I will definetly be sending an appreciation card to her suprivisor even though I feel this process was ludicrus to begin with.

I wish everyone else the best of luck in their pursuits in this matter. The USCIS seriously needs to get some uniforminity as several others here with the same problem from the same CSC got many different responses like some NOA's others no, some asking for nothing, some asking for new photos, some asking for all new biometrics , photos and signature card. Pretty amazing all to correct the same problem and all from people coming off the same type of visa.
