i have just graduated college, and was only working a part time job until june when i started working full time...at my new job i will earn an anual income of 30k, but for 2007 that will only amount to 15k (because i only worked for the second half of the year)...

im not concerned about being above the poverty line, because combined with my part time job earnings i will have made over 16500 (125% for 2 people)...but my question is this:

on the I-134, it asks how much of an anual income i earn...do i write the amount that will be my 2007 total aka what will be printed on my 2007 tax returns (just above the minimum), or do i write my current anual salary (30k)?

thanks in advance

Some might disagree with me but I'd use ure current income. Remember to get a current letter from you employer that explains that you have a FT position and what your annual salary is and that it is a permanent position.

Give them a current annual income. Take your current weekly income and multiply by 52. When the time comes, support it with the most recent pay stubs and an employer letter indicating start date and wage or salary, part time or full time etc.

i will definitely do that...my only concern is that i know the embassy in tirana requires a tax return...so im concerned about the discrepancy...

i guess that i could always explain to them why there is a discrepancy, and they will understand??

i found my experience with the us embassy in colombia very pleasant. If you have all your supporting documents tehy will understand why you put what you did.

The employer letter with start date will clear up the discrepancy.
