I have mostly classic rock on my ipod. Ben Harper and Jack Johnson are always favorites of mine. One rule I have no matter what is that Country music is not allowed on the ipod, I can't have it contaminating the real music.

I saw Jack Johnson in concert last year. He was fabulous. Now take back what you said about country music unless you are willing to make an exception for Johnny Cash! :crying:

I love Jack Johnson too! His wife used to be my math teacher in 9th grade, and all of my friends from high school know her so we always try to go to as many of his concerts as possible. She usually gets us tickets and good seats!

I like Johnny Cash, I consider that more classic music so it's ok. I just watched "Walk the Line" last night.

Waw Sarah,... You are definately the leader of the "cool" kids now ! LOL I just Johnny Cash and the film walk the line and of course Joaquin Phoenix. Love is a buring thing, ya know!

aren't most MENA divas all plasticized up?! lol every time i'm in morocco and watch the videos they all look so fake! myriam fares is the only natural one that i think is just stunning.

Probably so... but some Like Nancy Ajram and Haifa are way more fake then others

An explanation for Massari? When I very first started talking to my husband online, I tuned into some radio statons in Amman, just to see what kind of music they were playing. I kept hearing bits and pieces of a song, but could never catch the title or the artist. I finally heard enough of it that I was able to google it and find the artist. Yes, Massari. I had to special order the CD, because it was not available any where near me. By the time I finally got it, it was nearly time for my trip to Jordan, so I put it on my mp3 player to listen to on the plane. The song was "Real Love" and it has become "our song" in English. I also like Inta Hayati, but the rest is just for fun.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I also love Gary Allen, Three Doors Down, Josh Turner and the Dixie Chicks, guess that makes me kind of odd. As for Arabic singers, I can't say. I like the music, but don't speak Arabic so I have no idea what they are saying. Soon I will learn, just as soon as my husband gets here.

Well if it has a special that's different  and that'syour opinion which is cool! (o that sounded so high schoolish LOL)

strange thing is my husband is the arab and he dont even listen to arabic music.

I know several ppl like that. And way back in the day, ppl (MENA ppl) would be shocked that I listened to MENA music. Yrs before even marrying any MENA man:lol: To each their own ya know!

Hi I have a mixture on my ipod - Nickelback, Toots & the Maytals, Violent Femmes, Winsin & Yandel, Hesham Abbas, Indigo Girls, James Brown, Akon, Fall Out Boy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, John Mayer...and many more....hope this finds everyone well - -

Awwwwwww I miss the Violent Femmes... and Veruca Salt and the Smashing Pumpkins too! My daughter likes Akon, that song Lonely, probably cos he sounds like a chipmunk LOLOLOL!

yes the violent femmes good stuff...and also like smashing pumpkins...

I will listen to anything once and for that reason I have EVERYTHING on my iPod. I have a bunch of Arabic (from my time in Saudi), Turkish (from a good friend), Indian (from my best friend), African (from living in Ghana) and American of course.

Artist wise it varies: Mariah, TI, Rascal Flatts (love love love), Eminem, The Temptations (my mom's favorite), Spice Girls (please do not flame me for this :jest: ), Black Eyed Peas, John Mayer, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, The Corrs (Irish and amazing), N Sync (big big fan), Alanis, 50 Cent, Tim McGraw, Good Charlotte, Def Leppard...and on and on considering I currently have over 800 songs on my iPod by some 100+ artists.

And let me not forget the soundtrack to "Rent",

Outlandish...fabulous but I must say that I prefer the Khaled version of "Aicha".

I don't have an ipod but I do have a Creative Zen which I think is better than the ipod anyway.

Since I don't listen to music, I have it loaded with the entire Quran recited in Arabic and translated in English that I downloaded from Islam Way and then I have a BUNCH of lectures and sermans that I've collected over time.

I also have a funny video that someone sent me. :P
