Yikes ye! Anywho ... would go nutty!

Skip Massari. I could listen to this guy all day long. Bravo aleik aa3er bezaaf Ahmed! Great voice! Love the hair! And the clip shows the beauty of Maroc. His song "Give me your Name" is better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew1geQf2vws...ted&search=

For me rap so far has not sounded good in English, but is starting to in French

funny you posted this henia! i was just thinking of making a topic like this to lighten things up a bit around here.

lately i've been listening to Nancy Ajram, Cheb Hasni, Cheb Khaled (love his Aicha, btw), Myriam Fares, Jasmin, Tamer Hosni, and some random Gnaoua stuff. And also songs my fiance burned for me that I don't know who the artist is!! LOL

I like Nancy newer works like Ya Salaam and Enta Eih... but songs like Ah ya Nos and Tabtab just annoy me. I just love Tamer Hosni. Have you heard his remixes with Shereen Houb? Great chemistry there! And his Nour 3eini is much better then Amr Diab's in my opinion. But with lyrics like

"Between you and me promises

Promises between us

As soon as we wish , we'll cross any problems

Baby my soul , is a dream around you

You touch it , with your eyes

And you feel it , in your feelings

Baby baby

Baby when you're far away, i miss a hand touch

Without sayin anything

Close your eyes , and reach out your hands

As soon as i think of you , you gonna feel the touch" How can you go wrong? When he says habibi, habibi. I just want to go tipki away LOL!

I have mostly classic rock on my ipod. Ben Harper and Jack Johnson are always favorites of mine. One rule I have no matter what is that Country music is not allowed on the ipod, I can't have it contaminating the real music.

Well if you look at the clips, even without undrstanding the words you wil find them annoying. Enta Eih is good song, but it's about her man cheating on her basically with a close friend. So not really a lovey dovey love song! But Ya Salaam is =) Unforunate she has had so many surgeries. She looked much more beautiful back in her dancing days!

Sarah: I do not like country much either, but there are some songs which are NOT real country like Gary Allan's Best ever I had, that I have.

BTW Jenn: Enta Eih lyrics. More on request.

Enta Eih?

Enta eih mesh kfaya aalaik

[ what are you (how cruel are you) Is it not enough ]

Tegrahni haram aalaik enta eeih

[ That you hurt me? Have pity. How cruel are you? ]

Enta laih dimooai habeebi tehoun aalaik

[ Why my love, is it so easy for you to bring me to tears ]

Tab w laih ana radya enak tegrahni w roohi feek

[ And why do I accept that you hurt me when my soul is part of you ]

Tab w laih yaani eih radya beaazabi bain edaik

[ And why am I accepting this torment at your hands? ]

Law kan da hob ya waili mino

[ If this is love, my misery is from it ]

W law kan da zanbi matoub aano

[ And if I am to blame, I cannot say never again ]

Law kan naseebi aaeesh fey gerah

[ And if it is my lot to live in torment ]

Hayaeesh fey gerah

[ I shall live in torment ]

Mesh haram mesh haram enak tekhdaani fey hobi leek

[ Have you no pity? Have you no shame that you cheat me knowing the love I have for you ]

Mesh haram elgharam wel seneen hayati w 3ashi eleek

[ Is it not a shame, the passion and the years and longing that I am living for you? ]

Daa awam wala kan leaaba fey hayatak yetdaweek

[ Was the love lost completely? Or has it been a game ]

Daa awam el hanan w hodni albi w amali feek

[ Was the love and tenderness and my heart and faith in you all lost? ]

Law kan da hob ya waili mino

[ If this is love, my misery is from it ]

W law kan da zanbi matoub aano

[ And if I am to blame, I cannot say never again ]

Law kan naseebi aaeesh fey gerah

[ And if it is my lot to live in torment ]

Hayaeesh fey gerah

[ I shall live in torment ]

An explanation for Massari? When I very first started talking to my husband online, I tuned into some radio statons in Amman, just to see what kind of music they were playing. I kept hearing bits and pieces of a song, but could never catch the title or the artist. I finally heard enough of it that I was able to google it and find the artist. Yes, Massari. I had to special order the CD, because it was not available any where near me. By the time I finally got it, it was nearly time for my trip to Jordan, so I put it on my mp3 player to listen to on the plane. The song was "Real Love" and it has become "our song" in English. I also like Inta Hayati, but the rest is just for fun.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

I also love Gary Allen, Three Doors Down, Josh Turner and the Dixie Chicks, guess that makes me kind of odd. As for Arabic singers, I can't say. I like the music, but don't speak Arabic so I have no idea what they are saying. Soon I will learn, just as soon as my husband gets here.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!
