My wife who is 10 year green card holder filed i130 for her 2 kids both unmarried and in their early 20's.    She file April of 2020   it changed from we received April 18,2020 to we received July 15th 2020.  So today I refreshed the app, like I do about once a month and today it updated again. from we received April 18,2020  to we received May 23,2021     no approval just that date change.   Any idea what's going on?   Thanks in advance

F2 are processed by priority date.    There is a topic in the past week that talks on Priority Date being current.  (Priority Date is the received date of the petition at USCIS)

 

If your wife was a USC the visa type would change to IR and they are not processed by priority date.

F2b is not current,  No need to rush on these as there is a long way to go.

I planned on filing the N400 for my wife next month, how will that effect the I130's?

Currently would make it a few months quicker but you can hold on to F2b rather than 'upgrade'.

Hello,

Approximately F2B Philippines will take 10 to 12 years for the visa to be available and visa for US Citizen siblings is much more longer, It takes 20 to 24 years if there is no changes.  NG
