Hi there,

I am preparing to bring my parents over and I understand that I am to provide a birth certificate and its translation.

My question is, can I use my existing translation (translated about 4+ years ago and notarized) or do I need to create a new one all over again? Does it matter?

Thanks all!

They only need to be updated if you are born again

YMMV

Coming back to this site after a long time.

to answer your question, I think your birth certificate (certified) would work.  However as Bangladesh started using a new birth certificate with an unique number, it would be better if you apply and use that as well.  In my view getting the new Government Issued birth Certificate is lot more credible….

Ah I see, thanks for that info and welcome back! Me too haha as I've applied for an immediate relative.

I ended up using my original certificate issued from the country I was born (was written in Arabic) and that was used for my initial immigration processes as well. My passport and citizenship at that time was indeed Bangladesh but never had a birth certificate issued from there.

Hello there.

If you don't mind me asking, from where did you translate and notarize your Saudi Birth Certificate? I'm looking for a certified translator in Bangladesh. I have one which is the older version handwritten paper in green. Do I need to get it attested from MoFA or Saudi Embassy after translation?

Thanks.
