Greetings, my spouse arrived in the U.S 5 weeks ago and still waiting on her green card. How long does it usually take for green card to be sent out to the address of record?

Assuming she has paid the $220 green card fee…. From 4 weeks to 6 months .. no known rhyme or reason as to why one person gets theirs in 4-5 weeks .. like my husband .. and another person takes 5 months … like me !

Did you try to get an update from uscis before?

Maybe it was already misdelivered.

Do you have USPS informed delivery set up?

it still says “paid” on the uscis status website.

Yes I did several service requests and multiple  tier 2 calls .. all were equally unproductive .. I ended up contacting a Senators office .. not sure if that triggered anything different or if the process finally sorted itself out .. but it arrived a few weeks later.

Means nothing as USCIS is notorious for not updating statuse online to reflect actual status.

I asked you if you had USPS informed delivery.  The above was your response so I take it you do not.  Correct that now.  The possibility that the card was delivered to someone else is there and it is worth asking a tier 2 USCIS officer is the card was sent.

Note that the temporary I-551 in the passport will get the LPR by for next 10 months and one week.  If at 60 days before that I-551 expires there is still no green card, get an Infopass appointment for an I-551 stamp.

Yes the USCIS account showed it had been paid and that they were “ producing” the card but it never got past that. Always “ in progress”. Once they successfully produced the card it changed to “sent” or whatever wording they used..so I could see that I had finally made it through the holdup .. arrived in the mail a week later .. never any tracking number listed on the site ..
