I am preparing to send Form I-129f, my cover letter, our letters of intent, Our G325a's, Supporting Docs, and evidence. Are we missing anything? More specifically do we send the DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, DS-158, or DS-230 at this point? If not. At what point do we? When I was reading the cover letter template. I noticed it said "Enclosed please find my Form I-129F, Petition for K-1 Fiancé[e] Visa for [bENEFICIARY NAME], and supporting documents." I was confused about the Petition for K-1 Fiancé[e] Visa for [bENEFICIARY NAME] part. Is the said Petition for K-1 Fiancé[e] the same as the DS-156? Or is it the same as the I-129f? Arrrgh! Sometimes I feel like I am chasing my tail!

Re-read the instructions that come with the I-129F. You'll see it requires that form plus the G-325A. Those other forms aren't part of this stage of the process. They come from a completely different Department (State, rather than Homeland Security).

It's a stressful time and you're at the start, but take a break, re-read the instructions on the I-129F as well as the guides and FAQ here on VJ. That should give you a better feel for the entire process and what is due at what point.

Forget about forms that start with "DS" for now. You've got ample time to study up on those.

Thank you all and thanx in advance to any of those who may reply in the future. I was pretty sure I was on the right track. It was just that specific item listed on the cover letter template that confused me. We have been getting our info from another website which turns out is outdated in many ways. It is quite a daunting task to a layman like myself. I find myself second guessing my logic at every point. I yearn to be w/ my fiancee so bad that I just don't want to make any mistakes. I'm sure almost all can identify. Good Luck To All!

The FIRST website you need to pay attention to is www.uscis.gov. VJ is awesome. And so are some other secondary sources. But first and foremost, you need to get familiar with the primary source of the documents and the instructions. Then use this site for further help and confirmation of things. Good luck.
