Hi, my spouse is in India. I am a US citizen who filed the i130 petition for her to come to USA. USCIS site shows the file is at Nebraska Service Center.

My question is- can my wife arrive here in the given processing time mention on USCIS website? I can't recall but I think it was 10 months.

Or am I looking at 2-3years??

USCIS processing times are only part of the whole process.  NVC and the consulate processing times are not included in the USCIS estimate.  In pre-Covid times, the average from start to having a spousal visa in hand was 12-18 months.  I would suspect that 2 years is a reasonable guess now for some cases.  There is a huge backlog at NVC.  The VJ statistics page shows an average of 560 days as the average as reported by other members who have updated their timelines.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

What is your question?  No one can tell you how long the process will be for your particular case...although I can almost guarantee that it will take longer than 10 months.  I could expect at least 18 months.

Hello, there are long wait times at every step of the process, not to mention India's embassy is closed due to the COVID-19 situation there. There is no way to guess but you are probably looking at 18 months to 2 years. I am looking at the same as my husband is in Russia, with a totally closed embassy as far as immigration is concerned.

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

Maybe.  USCIS and consulates have specific criteria for expediting.....

You can try if you have a valid reason, but USCIS expedites are very rare. Also, your embassy being closed is a big issue that cannot be expedited. It is terrible and sucks, but many just have to be patient and wait.

lucky cat and mermaid explained it

your petition will be processed here and if no issues with paperwork,  it will go to NVC and set there waiting for the country to get out of current crisis of over 3000 deaths a day from covid and the embassy can reopen

then,  you will wait in line while they interview all the cases that have waited for interviews since March 2020

the case itself takes about 18 months to get to the case completed stage as at NVC stage it depends on so many things

1   how fast the USC pays the 2 fees

2   how fast the USC gets the IRS transcripts for NVC

3   how fast the beneficary gets the criminal reports for NVC

4   how many are ahead of you waiting for over a year now

5  and for India there will be a period of AP (administration processing ) after interview for weeks,  months or years while the embassy does a security check

not saying this to discourage but you can read the portal for India and post and embassy reviews to help give you a better sense of what you are asking

and best to you both

You cannot expedite just because you don't want to wait.

And given the current COVID emergency going on in India, I am sure the US embassy there will only be expediting immigrant visas for legitimately urgent reasons.   Normally in emergent situations, embassy services are restricted to helping only USCs.

Most people would look to the menu bar on the top of each page and surf in order to discover the wealth of information that is hosted on the site.   India PORTAL would be a good start,.

YMMV
