K1 fiance visa

Good day, I just want to ask the different of NVC and CGI federal. We've been filling the visa from USCIS and our petition has been approved December 2020 but they said we have to wait till we can get the letter from the NVC But until now we didn't have it. But now our petition is under of CGI and we have to pay the visa fee.

You did not file for a visa from USCIS.  You filed a petition with USCIS.  After that petition was approved, it was sent to NVC, which holds cases until the embassy is ready to accept them.  Your petition is not under CGI.  CGI Federal is just the contractor that handles the visa application website on behalf of the embassy.  If your visa case status says "Ready", NVC must have forwarded your case to the embassy.
