Hi! So I had to do an extra psychiatrist appointment for my medical and also send in some more documents directly to the embassy as I only had a copy when I had my interview.

My medical was signed off yesterday and the documents/passport seemingly reached the embassy today.

Was just wondering if anyone would have some insight into how long the process would take once theyve recieved everything?

It seems they don't need anything else from me :)

Can you update your timeline? It doesn’t show you made it through NVC or that you have interviewed. No consulate or visa type.

Hi! I think I updated everything correctly, my status has just changed to administrative processing on ceac, but again my medical was dubious and had to go through extra checks, so I have no idea how long it will take 😕

So your interview was 2 months ago but your medical was delayed? Did you get any feedback from the psych exam? Did they act like all was okay? Going to AP likely indicates your items were received by the embassy. It’s difficult to know what your medical indicated. Did you ask anybody at the Visa Medicals place.

On an average case, when things indicate received, the visa might be issued within the week, then arrive a couple of days later. There are a few in this forum whose AP seem to be an extended version indicating extra security checks which have no real time frame...2 weeks, 2 months, a year?? Hopefully you will see movement by the end of next week.

Thank you for responding!

so I originally had my medical a week before my interview but due to some self harm in the past they wanted a psych evaluation. The Doctor sent me the report before sending it on, which indicated that I have a very low risk of serious harm/ inpatient care.

I just don’t know if this will delay things because it seems my medical has been signed off completely, fingers crossed I hear something next week.

There have been plenty of self-harm people pass through this forum over the last dozen years. Those that bring a short statement from their GP that says “no longer a threat to herself and not a threat to others” have all gotten their visas. Did you bring anything from your GP to your medical? Wondering if they rejected your GP info and sent you for an additional exam.
