House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fined three Republicans in the lower chamber Tuesday for defying her rules that require face masks on the House floor in contradiction to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that stipulates otherwise.

Reps. Brian Mast of Florida, Beth Van Duyne of Texas, and Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa were each slapped with $500 fines after they ignored warnings from prior mask violations, according to the Hill, and participated in a maskless demonstration in the chamber.

 

“The truth is, from this moment on, Americans must ignore lies and start to listen to scientists,” Mast said in a statement. “The scientists at the CDC are telling us if you are fully vaccinated, you can go about your life without wearing a mask or physically distancing.”

Who knows.  Is it their choice (aren't Dems all about Pro-Choice)?  Did their Dr. recommend not getting it for whatever reason?  Have they already had the Vid and already have some form of natural immunity?  It seems Old Nancy is functioning like a dictator, but what else is new.

The odds that 50% Republican house members haven't been vaccinated due to a legitimate medical concern is close to zero. Just like blaming it on "cghina", denying it is more dangerous than the flu, fighting masks, pushing whacked out therapies, the fringe elements of the Republican party have hijacked the message and vision of the party.  

 

A real leader who get the vaccine and quit trying to spin up some alternative narrative that impacts public health.

The stat is misleading, from what I am hearing it is 50% that will not disclose their status which is not the same thing as not being vaccinated, or not having antibodies from all the GOP superspreading events the Left was clutching their pearls over 5-6 months ago.  Btw, Trump has wholeheartedly endorsed the vaccines, so blaming this on him directly or indirectly is a bit of a stretch.  Regardless, the vaccine is about personal protection, so the question is what science is Old Nancy following.  As to blaming it on China or more specifically the lab in Wuhan, the circumstantial evidence is quite telling, and the US (Dr. Fauci) helped pay for it.  Lastly, there are no real leaders in DC on either side, if we are looking to those there for leadership, we are looking at the wrong place.

Pelosi said they are keeping masks on to "protect the members and staff".  The CDC has clearly stated that fully vaccinated people can stop wearing masks or social distancing.  In other words, vaccinated people are in NO danger from unvaccinated people nor do fully vaccinated people pose a danger to anyone else.  There is simply no reason for Pelosi to require fully vaccinated people to continue wearing masks..... except for her ego.

It could have something to do with these folks being politicians, and I believe it is all on the honor system (politicians cannot tell the truth).  Can anyone actually believe that 100% of the Dems actually did get vaccinated?
