I am here on a fiancee' Visa, and will get married in next few days. I haven't filed for AOS yet. When exactly I can go to school? Do I need a study permit? or I can go after I get EAD or AOS notice or Green card? I have no idea how this works, but I need to go to school according to the job situation. Does anyone have information about this?

It shouldn't be a problem to go to school before and/or during your AOS process. You may need a SSN to enroll and also watch out for tuition fees because they may charge you as an international student (which is WAY higher than state fees). For some schools, you need to be a permanent resident for 12 months in order to pay "normal" tuition fees. Make inquiries as local colleges and see what you come up with.

Also, what do you mean by this?

I agree. check the residency requirements of the school you plan to attend. you can apply for an SSN right now. try to do so no more than 2 to 3 weeks before your I-94 expires otherwise they might say you have to wait til you have an EAD or green card.

Also, if you plan to use federal financial aid, you have to be a permanant resident first.

If the school considers you an international student see if they can give you scholarships... some of the schools around here go head over heals to get international students to attend their colleges and will even give them full scholarships to get them to go there.

ilovetoronto,

You can go to school as soon as you have been accepted by a school as a student, and classes begin.

There is no such thing as a "study permit".
