If something is incorrect when renewing your passport in DC - do they mail your passport back to you?? I was told they hang on to your old Philippine/original passport while processing. In our case, as my previous thread mentioned - we didn’t complete the report of marriage. Our appointment is in 2 days. A buddy’s wife submitted hers there, no report of marriage in her married name. So in that example - does anyone know what happens if they say “nope need the report of marriage first”, after they’ve already taken your passport?

Again, is getting it in your maiden name okay to do? Like still saying “married” of course, filling out the renewal form in your married name - but saying (not sure how you say it) - but implying you want it in your maiden? Or will they do this by default of Philippines receives and your report of marriage isn’t done (automatically send in your maiden name)? Again, going in 2 days - help is much appreciated

- No ROM appointments, no outreaches by the way

Renewing in your maiden name is ok.  Fill out the renewal form in your maiden name.

YMMV
