C'mon lads it's halfway through the week, update us. I'm now positive we won't reunite before 2022. Maybe before 2022 we can book an appt and maybe by his birthday, in March, we'll have the interview actually happen. But wishful thinking. I'm just so tired and despairing, I haven't seen him since 2019 and he's hesitating on accepting a permanent job at a school vs being a casual teacher because he doesn't wanna split and run.

Sorry. I know we are frustrated. It’s the worst.

 

We’re just flying back and forth. He’s gonna stay here until his embassy appointment. He’ll go back to AUS to renew his esta then come back again. Relying on the govt there is just a waste.

All of the prolonged waiting and uncertainty is causing depression to settle in. The past two months have been very difficult, with the passing of my dad, along with not being able to plan anything in regards to my interview etc. It's about time that we all had some definite answers.

Well they certainly didn't let us down! I'm so relieved to have received an email from the Sydney Consulate this morning! Of course I chose Option 1, even though it means that I will have to give up everything here in Western Australia, so I can travel to Melbourne for the interview (I won't be able to return to WA).

 

Hopefully the wait for the actual date won't be too long. My medical expires next month, so I'm hoping to have my interview before that happens.

We were DQ in April 2021 but we haven't received any email yet. It'd be interesting to know what month they are processing.

It’s official. We got a interview date in December.

Me too! 9th of December at 10.30am. 

 

NOW! As the only Panel Physician in WA is on leave until that date, I am now trying to find a clinic in Melbourne itself, to have my medical redone, as it expires the day after my interview. :/

Omg ours is an hour after you! Are you able to go to Sydney’s physician? I’m confused with all the travel bubbles there.

That might be possible, although it would mean travelling to Sydney for the medical, then onto Melbourne for the interview itself. Though I would do it that way if need be. Flying to either state from WA is possible, and also from Sydney to Melbourne.

I contacted the Toorak clinic today and they told me that the Consulate has to email them to schedule the medical. So another thing to wait for unfortunately
