I do see the hubris on display in his business practices directly explain his approach to government. Anything you can take is fair game, if you get caught, go on the offense and stay there damn the rules, damn the consequences, damn how people are hurt, damn what is right, the only thing that is right is that I survived and won. Yes, it was plainly obvious to anybody who's ever heard of him. Any intelligent person knew he presented a grave danger to democracy. It was no surprise when it turned out to be true, and it was a pity it could not be prevented.

Pointing out an assertion is incorrect is not a personal attack.  As to Trump presenting a grave danger to our democracy, I know the Democrats are pushing that narrative big time, but he followed the Constitution more than Obama.  This along with the Democrats promoting attacking the police by their race baiting grifters.  It is interesting some see one event where no one was armed (Old Senile Joe said those folks needed F15s and nukes) as an attack on Democracy, but actively support tearing down institutions, indoctrinating children into the politics of racism, and forcing businesses to compete with Uncle Sam for labor.  Which one of those is more of a threat to our democracy?

You asserted that Trump and his company are being pursued by the NY County DA because he is or was a threat to the US democracy, yet you failed to acknowledge the investigation started over five years ago.  So was the NY County DA some sort of clairvoyant, or is this just a political hit job?  I agree, the political elite (from either Party) want to make it unattractive for anyone else to force their way into their midst, but that in itself is a graver threat to the US democracy.

Trump is not a threat to democracy, the willingness of the republican party to set aside their norms and values to embrace a man so obviously unfit for office, that it literally doesn't matter what he says or does, he is the paragon of what the party stands for.
