Hello Everyone,

I'm going to have CR1 visa interview at the US embassy in Dakar and the nvc mentioned all the originals of the uploaded and submitted documents to CEAC must be brought during the interview but my concern is my wife and I are living apart and she's the one who has the original marriage certificate.

What to do now?

Where were you married?  Are you not able to get a certified copy of the marriage certificate from the issuing authority?

We got married in the US. She's there and I'm in Sénégal.

Certified copy? You mean to notorize it and send me the copy?

Not notarized.  In many states, you can only get a certified copy of the marriage certificate from the county clerk's office.  Ask your wife to get one and courier it to you before your interview.

Can't she send it to you via DHL or FedEx? I'm awaiting my interview and, luckily, have my marriage certificate original here in Colombia. However, I need someone to send my criminal checks to me, and I'm going to pay for that.

Only one more question what do you mean by "courier it" to me like with DHL, OR just by email would be okay?

The actual paper document has to be physically sent to you via courier like DHL or FedEx.  A print-out of an emailed scan would not be enough for the interview.
