Hi folks,

I filed form i-130 and the receipt/priority date it Sept 11, 2017 If I check USCIS "time line" website @ https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I really get confused because there is probable mistake in "receipt date for case inquiry" column at far right. They show US Citizens date older than Permanent Resident dates. Can anyone comment on that. If they are right my Receipt date case inquiry currently is May 8, 2019. So should I call them to find out or this mistake will be corrected by them later on.

For reference I have copied screen capture of that page.

I’m not sure why you are worrying about which is listed as longer or shorter. it doesn’t really matter as neither can be interviewed/issued visas before priority dates are current, and these are 2014 for sons/daughters of USCs and 2015 for sons/daughters of LPRs.

If the received date on your filed petition is earlier than the receipt date for a case enquiry for your processing center, then submit an enquiry for outside  normal processing time.

Pardon my ignorance that I couldn't express my intentions with more clearly. Fact is that my post was more out of curiosity than 'worry'. I am more curious than worried, Additionally, I omit to mention about NVC/consulate 'interview availability date' which I am aware of. I was specifically pointing out the confusion on USCIS time line portal on their website concerning form i-130 and that is all. I noticed that US Citizen application priority date is older that Green Card holder (application) date. That confusion and my speculation on potential error still exist.

thx

If you look at the underlying visa bulletin dates it takes longer for son /daughter of USC to get visa interview than LPR because both are quota categories, and the line is longer for children of USCs. So why would it take shorter for the petition to get approved if it is longer to get an interview? different categories, different queues.

the time to approval (which is what your table is) is honestly not important as long as the petitions are approved before priority date is current.
