In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The guide Lucky Cat quoted below is what you follow, except for one detail. See my comment below:

The guide has this advice:

Quote

A copy of your marriage certificate. Note: While a regular copy is allowed, submitting a certified copy is preferred as some members have received an RFE asking for this (so if one is available use that instead).

This is incorrect advice, and I've filed the appropriate complaints. The correct advice is:

A photo copy of your marriage certificate.

Required to file - I-485 and I-864, optional - I-765 and I-131 (for employment authorization and travel document).

Given that the I-485 seems to be taking longer than I-765 and I-131. It would make sense to also apply for those? It seems you would get you EAD/AP combo 100 days early than your greencard. (From VJ timeline).

I would, it’s free when filing altogether for adjustment of status.

I suggest filing the I-765 and I-131 along with your AOS package.  And to get ahead of the game, slowly start collecting your evidence now until the time of your interview with much evidence as you can.
