Hello,

My question is if the Income requirements to bring someone to the US for the affidavit support income requirement  $21,775 as a gross income or taxable income?

I made $43000 this year, the tax agent after applying deductibles it come to $20000 taxable income and $23000 expenses, so do I need a joint sponsor or I am doing okay? Please Help.

Thank you in advance.

You need a joint sponsor.

your portal page says K1 and you post as a spouse visa

makes a difference

https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

these are the 2 needed incomes for K1 and CR1

$17,420 $21,775

and what you need to show (at that stage ) will be current income

JeanneAdil, Thank you so much for everything I just fixed my mistake, it was Spouse Visa CR1, not K1.

I know it is $21755, but is it Net Gross Income? or After Deductions? Like I mentioned I made $43000, after Deductions and expenses it came up to $20000 Taxable income.

Thank you.

i see different answers to that question on here

some say gross income and others say adjusted

and say have employer write a letter with information of start date and salary (that would not include deductions)

NCV finally used my gross income as i don't pay taxes on my monthly annunity allowence which is the biggest part of my income

so, sorry,  i really don't know which is correct

Current Income? Like 2021? If I am going to file a petition in October 2021 and My 2021 Tax doesn't get filled until April 2022, don't you think I will need 2020 tax return?

I assumed the OP is self employed

if you file in october 2021,  the interview may not happen until 2023

2021 IRS transcripts needed if before April 1th 2022 and

2022 IRS transcripts needed if after that date

(always dependent of whether or not we get an extension of tax filing)

Joint sponsor.  Sounds like you are self employed.  As such, you had 43,000 in business revenue, not "income".  Business income is revenue minus expenses.
