Update: I got an email today. We were approved our expedite & given an interview date. 1 month and 20 days until the embassy replied. Don’t lose hope.

What was your reason for expedite?

K1 are not resuming, where did you get that incorrect information?

Also, I believe are resuming for cases already "at post". Its been like that for a few months now.

There used to be a link to see the number of visas processed each month, by visa type, by Embassy location, but Im not sure where that can be found.  I have not seen March and April data for USEM for K1s to see if there has been any increase or not.

Also, as far as I know, the ones in the lawsuits have hit a temporary dead end it seems.  The ones filing in December 2020, none have had interviews and the ones in April have another month wait to see how the judge replies, although it appears likely that one will not gain much traction as well.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

I do not think its a temporary dead end. Blinken filed a Motion to Dismiss is being briefed and after its fully briefed will be set for hearing on said Motion.

Correct. That’s my understanding and why I mentioned temporary. Unless it’s a permanent dead end which I didn’t know.

Monthly immigrant visas by post.

And of course K1 K2 are found under non-immigrant visas.

Hello. any VJ members here requested for expedite? I sent mine April 30 and still no update yet. Only the auto reply on same day. Appreciate if anyone  can share your timeline for expedite.

Thanks.

15 business days passed not heard anything. anyone would suggest if its okay to resend the request? as nvc says, duplicate request can cause delays in reply.

I haven’t tried. I was really considering it at one point but saw a lot of people have no luck with their congressman so I got discouraged to even try.

my congresswoman diane degette is very tight with nvc/uscis

for about a year even she could not get any answers from the nvc

i asked her for an update about 3 weeks ago and even she got the same email about ""our commitment in working hard for you" without a single question answered from the nvc
