K1 VISA PROCESSING—THIS IS RIDICULOUS

If you have been looking at the statistics, have you actually looked at the K1 stats for the past three years?

You'll notice they issue less than 50 K1s per month historically....

No I didn’t go searching for a 3 year history. I looked at this year. What’s your point? Is 6 K1 visas compared to 200 is the norm and we should be satisfied with that? You realize they haven’t processed in a year but have still ramped back up to normal speeds with other visas right? Meanwhile K1 remains on the back burner while they pretend to be at normal processing times.

200?

Where are you getting those stats?

Those are not K1s. You can't compare Spousal stats to K1 stats.

Look at the historical stats for both Spousals and K1s and you will see both are equally lower.

K1s issued in Lagos have been less than 50 per month historically.

Try 25 to 40 as an average.

They do not process that many K1s period.

Why? Because Nigeria is a high fraud country and valid K1s are rare.

I'm providing answers as that's my job here.

Do your own research on the visa stats website.

You'll see the facts too.

I actually do research and I also have first hand information on what's currently happening in Lagos regarding K1s. She didn't say anything false, in March a small number of K1s were processed in comparison to other visa classes. In April 38 were issued and for May the number will be higher when the stats come out. Her post was about the frustration of the prolonged delay and unfair treatment of K1.

Help me and ask o! Rubbish. Here to discourage.

It's ridiculous tbh like what's his/her business here. Yea historically between 25 to 40 were issued per month but  the processing had stopped since March 2020 and only recently started in April 2021 we'd expect to see more issued per month to get through the backlog.

People always want to run in on any post regarding Nigeria with their negativity like how is that helpful? This post was her venting about the long delay so why the negativity?

Hmmm thank you o. I even checked random months and saw numbers in the 60s. He can’t know everything about our country. Just to come and be talking rubbish. Lagos was processing K1  visas at a fraction of what it was pre-pandemic while processing other visas in the 100s-1000s. I did not state anything false but I guess if they think they know it all they can carry on. The visa statistics are there for all to see. Rubbish talking.

Exactly! Always quick to say Nigeria is a high fraud country. There are those of us who are honest. It’s not the whole damn country smh

Yup there are more honest people in Nigeria than bad so why keep lumping the whole country into one category? 🙄 God is in control and we will make it out this process. 🙏🏾 What God cannot do doesn't exist.
