Nice, they've only accepted my AOS just now today so hoping they accept the civil documents soon.

I also had to resend my W2s and 1099 lol

What is a 1099? Maybe that’s what my sponsor is missing on top of her w2s. She’s retired. Not sure if that’s what’s wrong.

A 1099 form is a record that an entity or person other than your employer gave or paid you money.

My 1099 was from my brokerage on my day trade account. Guessing it's a retirement account that she's pulling money from.

Yes she gets retirement benefits but she submitted a w2 for that. It’s the social security benefit right?

Hi all,

I've also been following this thread. We submitted our documents on Apr. 25th, and they got approved yesterday June 2nd, but they also asked for my husband's W-2 form

"Please submit every 2020 W-2 form for NAME."

And we uploaded it yesterday, it was actually very heavy, and he had some problems bringing it down to <2MB.

But reading the comments, I guess we are going to be send to the back of the line -.-

Did you look at the quality of the document when you got it to 2MB? I have heard if it is not clear enough they will make you redo it too...  😕 I have had a lot of difficulties with compressing as well. I made a post about it here and someone gave a suggestion if you want to check it out.  The best of luck to you. I hope you get some good news soon.

Did you receive a notification email when you resubmitted the document? I resubmitted one document and the status says "submitted" but I did not receive a notification email of the resubmission. I am afraid that it is not marked for them to review.

I did not receive a notification. I also had to add in a joint sponsor because they did not approve me as my husbands sponsor unfortunately.  It still says N/A and I am unable to download the sponsors financial docs yet. I called NVC and they said there was a "system outage" and to wait another week or so for it to update.

Btw did you try telling them you got a job offer in US and expedite the case?  Sounds like a good reason. You can search the forum for expedite cases.

No email after submitting them. OMG thank you for your comment, I actually went back and we had just uploaded the documents, but forgot to click "Submit Documents", so I just did.

I don't remember getting a notification email from the first time we submitted. So, I think they received them. I hope you hear back soon.

I think it was readable after. But he did try once method and it was not legible at all!

Thank you for your words, the best of luck to you too! Things seem to be moving a little bit faster now.

I didn't know you could ask for an expedite if you have a job offer in the US. I do have a job offer that will expire on July 12th. I'm still fairly new at these forums, an apology, but can you point me in the right direction on how to ask for an expedite?

So far I've seen that you send an email to "NVCExpedite@state.gov", is there a template? do you attach the job offer?

Or do you use the Inquiry Form on the website.

Thank you.

I sent all of our financial forms, DS260, etc on April 14th 2021, 5 weeks ago. I checked the website and as of today it says they are reviewing applications sent in on April 10th. I check each monday to see how far along they have updated.  How accurate is this processing time?  Do you think they could get to us even though we sent it in 4 days passed the time frame they are working on?  Just wondering how long this usually takes. Thanks everyone!

I have not tried to expedite but just by reading the forums it seems like there is good reason for you to do so. Just search "NVC expedite" and there should be many posts talking about this. I think there is no standard template because everyone's circumstance is different. You can try send an email to NVC stating the same as well. There is no harm to try.
