Hi Everyone -

I hope you're all healthy and well.  We finally received our interview (1 month from now, July 17) in Montreal.  My parents need to travel from BC (West Coast) to Montreal.  I did my interview when I immigrated almost 10 years ago in my home city so I did not have to worry about this.  I also had to do AOS due to K1 Visa... as a IR5, they don't have a conditional visa.  So, I'm unsure if I should have them fly back same day or if we need to wait for passport etc.  Their interview is right at the start of day so I'm sure they are the first or second appointment of the day.

Can they fly home in the evening of July 17 or should we book a few additional days?

Many thanks!

It's very unusual to get the passport with visa back same day. Does Montreal not have a courier option for people who reside elsewhere in Canada? It seems odd to expect people to hang around in Montreal for an unknown number of days waiting to get their passport back.

Thank you for this.  Yes, just realized they have courier service which we'll have them fly back same day and have it mailed.

When I did my interview in Vancouver, I received my passport back in 2 days but I was local and didn't even think about it at the time.  Thanks so much!
