She cannot get her father's permission because he wants her to marry an Iranian Muslim. Does anyone know where we could get married without her father's permission or any loopholes? We are intending on getting married in Turkey.

Is she living in Iran? Because doesn't matter where you married if she is only resident in Iran she will need to wait all the process there.

Just be sure that this plan will keep her safe after.

Hi,

This is mainly an immigration forum.  For Muslim traditions there may be other places that could provide better information.  You could also search the regional forums here as well.

Just a general comment, please feel free to ignore it:  It does not bode well to start a relationship or be in a relationship with family friction.  It adds a heavy strain that could be problematic down the road, if not now.  Try to work out relationships with her family first.  If it's not possible, then be aware of what you are getting into as you progress down this road.

Good luck!

well the ultimate goal is for her to come to America, so I thought this was the first step of immigration

You need to read more about the process. For the CR1 visa she will be waiting for more or less 1 and half year until the interview.

Just marriage is not enough to bring someone to the US.

Please take your time to understand all the steps before make something that can bring you two a lot of problems.

You will need to present some evidence of bonafiide marriage. Be aware of this too

Will she be living legally in the other country? She needs to be a legal resident to be interviewed in that country or she will be interviewed in Iran.

Just for you to know even if the Embassy  sometimes they  follow the rules from the local culture.

I really don't know about Iran, but sometimes lack of proofs,  support from family,  age gaps, etc are a big red flags.  I don't know if this is your case.

Just look all you need before give the big step.

Good luck

lol the permanent closing of the US embassy was seen on live TV in the 1970s.

Anyway ...

Problem statement:

* Alien partner cannot get married to US citizen in his/her country of residence

* Same alien partner has difficulties getting married in another country

* Alien partner and US citizen partner can see each other in a third country

Solution: Utah Zoom Marriage

* partners can be physically anywhere in the world to legally marry

* neither partner has to be a resident of Utah

* marriage is recognized by USCIS and Department of State

* After getting married, partners must meet each other at least once (once is necessary and sufficient) before filing I-130.  Note that proof of bonafide relationship is a different than proof of legal marriage and thus multiple prior meetings are likely to be required by the consulate or USCIS before approving an immigration petition / visa.

Nope.  The US does not have diplomatic relations with Iran, and there are no US consulates or embassies there.

Why you are not applying for a fiance visa, has fewer headaches.

Not according to the experience of the many stressed-out posters in the "K1 Progress Reports" and the "AOS from K1" sub-forums here on VJ.  Many US consulates are not even conducting routine K1 interviews, while they continue to process spouse visa cases.
