Hi,  I submitted my I-130 on October,2020 and haven’t heard anything since apart from the receipt number I received. I tried submitting an inquiry for case outside normal processing times but they said it’s within the processing times despite being over 7 months.what should I do?

So this is exactly what happened to me....I thought we were past the 7 month mark so I tried to fill out the outside of normal processing time inquiry and it said that it was within the normal time. I ended up calling USICIS and when I talked to them they had transferred my case days after I received my NOA1 but was never notified....so now my case is at the Potomac Center which has a 13-16 month wait....so I would give them a call and ask where your case is currently because it sounds like the same exact situation as ours...they might have transferred your I130 without notifying you.

Thank you so much I’ll probably give them a call tomorrow morning.

Just in case you have trouble talking to an actual person just say “technical difficulties” and the automated system will connect you to a real person. Good luck!

The processing timelines change for each center all the time. They occasionally transfer if one center gets backed up. I got processed through Nebraska. At that time the wait was over a year. I think something like 14 months.
Also,  you havent said what county you are from, that can have a huge impact on overall processing times. Throw in covid and a bunch of immigration changes with administration change and you get a who knows how long anything will take. Patience is your friend now.

We have the same issue. Our I-130 notice receipt date was 21-Oct-20 and the application was allegedly sent to the Nebraska service center (2 to 7 month wait time).

We called them up last week and apparently they had transferred us to the Texas Centre (which currently has an 8 - 10.5 month wait time) a week after our receipt date. The USCIS website unfortunately still says Nebraska despite the early transfer. Not the end of the world but still not ideal!
