someone spoke to me about getting a Visa for thier husband who is from West Guinea. He is currently in the states. There are married for a year. So far, it has not been easy to find the way to go. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I would assume that the I-130 process would be the same, if so I should be fine. Please enlighten me.

does anyone know where the embassy would be for West Guinea. Thanks

Sent I-130 to TSC

Received NOA1 from CSC with a date of 8/15/06

I-130 petition approved 4/16/2008 after 19 months.

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information,processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

IF he is already in the states, then file I-130 and I-485 together to the Chicago address. No need to leave the USA.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Which means if he is here legally and made the decision to marry AFTER his legal entry, he doesn't need a visa. He needs to adjust status.

If he came with the intention of marrying, then depending on the visa category on arrival, she will need to file the I-130 petition in his behalf and he must leave the US before his current visa expires.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
