My Immigrant Visa is Approved in Consulate General of Montreal

my priority date is July 2019

type of visa Eb3

DQ: March 17, 2021

Interview date: May 12, 2021

While my case is still in NVC, I wrote a letter request to expedite my case (Feb 2021)since I am a healthcare worker. Consulate of Montreal Approved it around April 18,2021 and gave me the schedule a week after. I booked an appointment for My Medical exam at Mediys on May 4 and got my results after 5 days.. you need to book it a week before your appointment Just to be sure. I also rented airbnb 5 mins walk to the consulate since you have to leave your things before getting in, in my case I left my phone on the Hotel. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to avoid waiting outside, they won’t call you unless it is your time already. Put all your documents in an envelope and dress properly for the weather. They will ask you first to show your passport before the check and you will go to the first floor and they will instruct you to go to a window where you will give your passport. You will wait around 15-20 mins then will call you back to a window, they will check your documents and biometrics. They will instruct you to wait until the consul call your name for the interview. Mine just took 5 minutes then she approved it. They are all nice there and very Professional. Just be sure your documents are complete because they already have the decision before interviewing you.

Good Luck!

airbnb cost- 400-500 dollars (7days stay)

medical exam -600-800 dollars (depends on your case)

Congratulations. What kind of healthcare worker are you?

I'm a healthcare worker too, not sure if my profession qualifies though; Medical scientist (Pharmacology/Toxicology).

Thank you.
